1. Complete an I-9

Once you have a job offer (get it in writing) and accept it, you will need to fill out an I-9. This form verifies your identity and employment authorization in the US.
Your employer should be able to provide you one, or you can look online. If you don’t read or speak English, there are Spanish language instruction forms.
All US workers must fill out an I-9. This includes everyone except self-employed workers.
